About The Founders:
Gerry Regan, (ger@garmedia.com) the co-founder and executive producer of TheWildGeese.com, has an extensive background in journalism and New Media, along with intense interest in American and Irish history. He has studied modern British and Irish history in Trinity College, Dublin, and as a journalist and devotee of history, has had articles published in the Irish Echo, The Civil War News, The Washington Times, Medical Tribune, Newsday, and various other publications. Gerry served as a staff writer and copy editor for Gannett Westchester Newspapers and USA Today, and worked at Prodigy Services Inc. as a news editor, at newsday.com as a producer, and at office.com as a copy editor. He is a magna-cum-laude graduate of Duke University, majoring in mathematics, and has a masters degree in journalism from New York University.
Joseph E Gannon (jgann@garmedia.com), Research Director. Based in Connecticut, Joe is a talented writer, editor and researcher and devotee of both the online world and military history. Joe attended the University of Connecticut, and is a US Army veteran who served in the Military Police in Vietnam in 1971-72. He has an extensive background researching both Irish and Civil War history, and is a contributor to the newsletter of the 27th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, which is one of the largest such organizations in the USA. He is a research librarian at a corporate library.
